June 1, 2017: Our Little Secret will launch tonight at Touchstones Museum in Nelson, BC. I’ll be reading and signing, and I’m really excited about both. Come along!

May 17, 2017: Here I am with fellow prize winners at the Hugo Thriller awards in Paris. What a night it was…


May 2017: Our Little Secret has won the Douglas Kennedy Prize for Best Foreign Thriller in France! Organized by Hugo Thriller, VSD magazine and RTL radio in Paris, I’m heading there to pick up the prize! Could not be more excited.

September 2015: Excited to say that my debut novel, Our Little Secret, has been signed by Simon & Schuster Canada and will be published in June 2017.

June 2015: Very pleased to announce that I’m now represented by Carolyn Forde of Westwood Creative Artists.

May 2015: I’ll be teaching the Spring Scribble youth creative writing weekend this year, as part of the Kootenay Literary Society’s writing program.

March 2015: Round 4 Winner in Malahat Review‘s Twitter #140Memoir competition.

December 2014: ‘The Cake Tin’ has been put forward by The Antigonish Review for selection in the 2015 Journey Prize Anthology.

November 2014: I’ll be teaching a dialogue-writing workshop this week at for the LVR 24 Hour Writing Competition, and have been asked to judge the submissions.

March 2014: ‘The Cake Tin’, a short story about old love and betrayal, has been picked up by The Antigonish Review – due to release in the Summer 2014 issue.

February 2014: My fiction short story, ‘The Innocence’, is a winner in the Kootenay Literary Competition.

January 2014: Join me at Selkirk College, Castlegar BC for two creative writing workshops – ‘Polish Your Writing Skills’ and ‘Writing as Process’.
